Warringah Council Property Search

When purchasing a property it is important that a search is carried out on adjoining properties as a Vendor is not require to disclose any information to any potential Purchaser regarding existing or proposed neighbourhood developments.

Any land and/or building development may impact on the value and use and enjoyment of a property in a variety of ways:

  • Loss of view
  • Traffic congestion
  • Increase in noise level
  • Loss of privacy
  • Loss of available street parking
  • Loss of sunlight

The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 makes provision for a wide range of information to be publicly available, including information about Development Applications and associated documents received in relation to a proposed development.

Warringah Council provides this information online which allows you to search a particular property, track the progress of an application, browse planning instruments and identify what development may be permissible on a property.

You can either search the property by an Address by entering the house number and street name or by Map which allows you to zoom in to a desired location where a parcel land from the map may be selected.
